On September 6, 2022 Greg Garrison came upon a fire and took the video below. Many thanks to Greg for finding and reporting a smoldering stump fire near the red trail and to the Niantic Fire Department who responded quickly to extinguish it on the evening of September 6, 2022. We owe them and Greg our heartfelt gratitude in averting a disaster!
Hikers please be careful and call 911 to report any fire in the Hills!
