Spring in the Hills!

Forest Succession after the Fire - Birding in the Oswegatchie Hills

Mac and Michael Dunn in partnership with The Natural Resources Conservation Academy at UCONN have produced ‘Birds After the Fire - Oswegatchie Hills’. This is a story of forest succession and birding after the 1962 fire in the Hills and features interviews with Bruce Dasinger, Andrew Dasinger, Rich Gallagher and Joe DeLaura.

Save the Sound & Save the Hills Coalition
created a compelling video profiling The Hills!

This short video documentary profiles the Oswegatchie Hills and Niantic River estuary and the ongoing quest to save them. Enjoy stunning aerial footage of the lower watershed, people hiking in the Nature Preserve, and kayakers splashing on the Niantic River.  Enjoy and then get involved!
